schuberthousePosted by Hans (Heiligeneich, Austria) on 6 January 2008 in Architecture and Portfolio. The municipality has received her name of the Kuenringer "Azzo" which has hit the first bridge about the Perschling in the deep Middle Ages. Already at the Carolingian's time the area was settled and in the 13-th century one finds a noble gender of the Atzenbrugger. The possessions as well as the castle pass over 1542 in the property of the pencil cloister new castle. Also from the numerous warlike discussions of the past centuries (Turk's wars, Napoleonic wars, first and the second world war) was concerned the area around Atzenbrugg immediately. The historically probably most significant personality is the composer Franz Schubert who was staying in the circle of the "Schubertianer" beside other famous musicians, painters and poets of his time quite often on castle Atzenbrugg.
