Welcome to GMÜND in the Waldviertel! Swamps, ponds, Wackelsteine (huge wobbling stones) and nature parks characterise the upper Waldveirtel. The district and border town Gmünd is harmonically embedded into the landscape. City centre and the nature park Blockheide, which is situated directly behind the town, invite you to go for relaxing walks. Here you can find, apart from numerous granite blocks full of old myths and legends, the well-known Wackelsteine (wobbling stones), which have become quite well-known in Austria.
Air and happiness are absolutly pure. You will notice very quickly how positively this climate affects your health.
Gmünd welcomes you to a beautiful and adventurous vacation!

The granite texture is very interesing, but you "killed" the decorative pine with this conversion. You might have tried selective colour and let the pine tree be seen.
